EUGENE D. SELIGMANN, Partner

Gene Seligmann founded the partnership of Seligmann & Flaherty, PLLC in 1972. For over 30 years, Mr. Seligmann has successfully represented individuals and small businesses by applying common sense solutions to legal issues and disputes.

Mr. Seligmann’s practice focuses on issues facing small businesses and partnerships, real estate and commercial transactions, estate planning, and probate. Mr. Seligmann has substantial experience in resolving disputes through the alternative dispute resolution process and is a trained and experienced mediator in cases relating to partnership and marital dissolutions and estate disputes.

Bar Membership

He is admitted to practice in all the courts of Washington, the 9th Circuit Federal Courts of Appeals, and the Federal District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Mr. Seligmann is a Member of the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association. He is a past Trustee of the King County Bar Foundation and has served as its Treasurer. Mr. Seligmann is also a past Trustee of the King County Bar Association. He has earned the highest rating, AV, by Martindale-Hubbell.

Education

Mr. Seligmann graduated from the Lakeside School, Seattle, Washington, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington in 1969 and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Washington Law School in 1972.

Griff Flaherty focuses on transactions, litigation and alternative dispute resolution in the following areas:

  • Contract disputes

Biography

Griff Flaherty has been practicing with Seligmann & Flaherty, PLLC for over two decades. Mr. Flaherty’s practice is divided evenly between litigation and transactional work. He represents individuals and small businesses in avoiding and resolving disputes over commercial transactions, construction projects, real estate transactions and business dissolutions. Mr. Flaherty has substantial experience litigating disputes through trial, as well as resolving disputes through alternative dispute resolution processes, such as mediation and arbitration.

Professional Memberships

He is admitted to practice in all Washington state courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Flaherty serves as an arbitrator for the King County Superior Court Mandatory Arbitration system.

Mr. Flaherty is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association.
